Agri Invest

The Union Cabinet, on 3rd June 2020, under the leadership of Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi had given its approval for setting up of Project Development Cells (PDCs) in Ministries/Departments of Government of India for attracting investments in India. This mechanism will reinforce India's vision of becoming a US$ 5 trillion economy by 2024-25.

In this backdrop, a PDC has been constituted within the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers' Welfare to promote ease of doing business by creating an investment friendly ecosystem that strongly encourages domestic as well as foreign direct investments that will boost the agri-economy.

• • Facilitate investments in a timely and targeted manner.
• • Provide necessary support on issues faced by investors to finalize their investment plans.
• • Create and maintain state wise and sub-sector wise list of investible projects.
• • Fast track all regulatory approvals.
• • Put forward shortlisted issues before the Empowered Group of Secretaries.
